Air Experience Flights

We offer two types of air experience flights, standard and deluxe. You can pay at the airfield on the day of your flight. If you want to give a flight as a gift then you can purchase through our PayPal page.

Flight Training

Gliding is affordable and instruction is free. Costs can be less than $3000 per year paid progressively as you learn or fly. Glider hire and launch costs can work out more cheaply than power flying. You do not have to own a glider to participate, the clubs' single seat gliders are more than adequate for all but the most competitive pilot.

About Canberra Gliding Club

The Canberra Gliding Club has been established for over fifty years, offering pilot training in gliders and air experience flights, all conducted by experienced instructors in modern two-seat fibreglass training aircraft.

We also have a club house and hangar facilities on our own airfield. The local scenery is very special and under the right conditions from above 7000ft you can see from the NSW snow fields to the Tasman Sea.

We operate under regulatory oversight of the Gliding Federation of Australia for our routine gliding training and soaring operations. We are subject to regular safety and operations audits, and place very high value on our operational safety and training standards.
